Give a Gift of Love and Memory

In Memory of Katie PDF Print E-mail

My dear friend Robin Lozier has given a memorial in memory of their dear dog Katie.

Katie came to us as a lost puppy. She grew up helping us on our ranch, chasing gophers and rabbits! Katie never hurt a fly, and wanted only to please. She was Irv's best friend and loving companion. Our Grandchildren loved her to pieces and she loved them. Katie was the most kind, loving Angel we have ever had in our family. Her untimely death has left us with a painful heart and lots of tears of loss. Time may lessen the pain, but our hearts will never heal. We miss you so much. God Bless you Katie, our very special Angel.

In Memory of Asia and Flash PDF Print E-mail

A GOOD BYE TO ASIA AND FLASH

Asia and Flash arrived with severe founder. They were 22 years old and suffering badly. With no recovery at all in over a month, we and the vet agreed with age comes slower recovery if any at all. After days of deliberation and last efforts, we agreed it was their time. I found this poem that reminds me of them and hope they are running the meadows as I write this, they will be missed by many. The good news is, the reason they arrived in the first place is that their owner had passed and as I understand were her life and special babies. I hope they are reunited today.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE FOR HORSES

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill, Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next, Is a place where beloved creatures find rest. On this golden land, they wait and they play, Til The Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer in pain or in sadness, for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness. Their limbs are restored their health renewed. Their bodies have healed with strength imbued.

They trot through the grass without even a care, Til one day they whinny and sniff at the air. All ears prick forward, eyes sharp and alert. Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the herd.

For just at that second, there’s no room for remorse. As they see each other…one person…one horse. So they run to each other, these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart Has turned to joy once more in each heart. They nuzzle with a love that will last forever. And then, side-by-side, they cross over….together.

In memory of Lisa Golkowski PDF Print E-mail

Lisa was a loving, kind hearted person who first contacted the rescue when she became ill. She loved getting the newsletters and took an interest in a neglected little bay mini mare. The mare needed a name and so the rescue named it Lisa in her honor. She loved that mare and always wanted updates on her. Lisa, the mare, was adopted into the best family where she is loved which made Lisa Golkowski very happy. We are so saddened by her passing but know she is watching over the rescue minis from above. - Alison Smith-Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue.

In Memory of 'Princess' PDF Print E-mail

A donation made by Ann Ezzell in memory of her precious mini Princess who suffered from cushing's disease, insulin resistance and founder.

Here she is having breakfast in bed - this was several months before the end, when she didn't always feel like getting up to go back to the barn to eat. So she got take out. This was taken the last day, as we were waiting for the vet. She got to go graze on the lawn, something she wasn't able to do before (founder, Cushing's, insulin resistance... you name it, she had it).

Thank you for all that you do for these little guys.
