Blitzen was found on Christmas Eve in a blizzard. He had been running away for 2 days as he did not like his dog house for shelter I don't think. He was found by a women across the river from he was in running. She lured him out with her min horse and he followed her all the way home right into the barn. He was so cold, scared, tired, wet and FULL of burrs. She gained ownership of him so she could turn over to the rescue. Blitzen is a yearling and we recently gelded him. He is very sweet and a bit timid. He appeared on the news for his survival miracle. The blizzard dumped 24 inches if snow that he was trying to get thru. He wants a new home where he will be loved forever.
