A GRANT FROM THE ASPCA HAS MADE EXPANSION POSSIBLE

Due to a grant from the ASPCA, Triple H Miniature Horse rescue is expanding. We are constructing an additional large corral and water fountain approximately 100 feet X 200 feet where we will be ale to house more minis in need. This new area will allow for minis that are able to graze, the opportunity to have a large area to run and graze in the spring, summer and fall months. It will also provide a wonderful quarantine area if necessary. |

Adoption of the Month

What to do in your spare time? How about train a wild mini? That's what Joan did. Joan adopted Merlin who came to us more pony size than mini. He had never been handled and was very wild and impossible to catch. Joan said she would take him and work with him. Well, what a match or maybe Joan is super talented (which is my guess).
After working with him and getting him to like to be be caught, she went out and bought herself a harness and small cart. The rest is history. After just a few months I think the photos speak for themselves. Way to go Joan and Merlin (now Boomer)!

Blitzen was found on Christmas Eve in a blizzard. He had been running away for 2 days as he did not like his dog house for shelter I don't think. He was found by a women across the river from he was in running. She lured him out with her min horse and he followed her all the way home right into the barn. He was so cold, scared, tired, wet and FULL of burrs. She gained ownership of him so she could turn over to the rescue. Blitzen is a yearling and we recently gelded him. He is very sweet and a bit timid. He appeared on the news for his survival miracle. The blizzard dumped 24 inches if snow that he was trying to get thru. He wants a new home where he will be loved forever.
